Nurse Redd: I get goosebumps just thinking about it
Tale
A detective and a nun investigate a series of heinous crimes that seem personal, while tackling personal issues and uncovering a sinister web that raises more questions than it answers. Ed Laclan’s mustang is the same color and has the same license plate number as the car in The Italian Job 2WQI332. Ryan Murphy was once good at telling varied stories, but now feels the pieces that need to be told in his own way are art versus fetish.
I understand that some nuns are less conservative, but the way he acted was insane
The protagonist was an unstable detective, unsure of how she kept her job, she couldn’t seem to get out of a paper bag. Who would honestly discuss a new case with a stranger claiming to be a nun with no real credentials? The priest just didn’t fit the role, it seems Murphy was trying to get an Evan Peters lookalike and failed.
I know this is a two episode review, but it feels like another differently titled season of AHS
Redd was an odd character who seemed very intimate with the husband in her care, I feel like there is more to the story, only time will tell. The only grotesque thing was the daughter in the first episode dressed in something deliberately tight and eating enough food for two people. Who cares if she’s pretty or something, let’s give weight to her character approach because apparently that’s how grown up people are perceived.
The cinematography was okay, but nothing stellar either
The series is full of cliches and plot holes, maybe stereotypes, but nothing really original. Take a look at this and decide for yourself – revision edits may be made when the series is complete. Edited Update: Much like AHS: NYC, suddenly in the last few episodes Ryan Murphy changes the cohesion of the plot a bit, probably calling it artistic or a twist, but it shouldn’t leave the viewer feeling a range of emotions towards the series, from disconnected/confused and so on.
